Updated May 22, 2023, by Tom Bowen: Whether fans are looking for a way to pass the time between now and their next Pokemon adventure or just curious about what some of the games that are similar to Pokemon have to offer, these excellent creature-collecting titles are definitely worth a look. Luckily for those players, there are plenty of great games like Pokemon, and while none have been able to match the series in terms of success and longevity, many have come pretty close when it comes to their gameplay and graphics. However, there's only a finite amount of post-game content in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, meaning that some players will likely grow bored of the games as time goes on. Pokemon Scarlet & Violet are the most recent entries in the franchise and are some of the most innovative installments in the series so far. It's the best-selling video game series of all time and has been adapted into just about every medium known to man. We also showed off a little tease of some content from the Port Forward update on Twitter a couple weeks ago in case you missed it.The Pokemon series is one of gaming's true juggernauts. We've also come up with some possible solutions for some long-standing issues, like broken dance moves, Nullwhere issues, and maybe even widescreen support! The 0.7 update will also have at least one new system that we hope folks with long playtime hours will appreciate.

The Port Forward update is still planned for mid-year. There are a lot of bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements we've been making lately that we didn't want to sit on until we did all of the Port Forward content, so we're going to be getting those out the door as a separate update first. We're tweaking our plans a bit by sneaking in an interim update before the big Port Forward update. He's been helping us keep the pace with development as the new baby takes up a lot of our time. So some big news is we've expanded the team a while back with the addition of Rich, who's an incredible programmer and artist. We've got some exciting stuff planned for this year and we've been hard at work to get it all to you!
